AVALARA OFFERS LOW-CODE STUDIO Featured

Avalara has introduced a low-code studio to make it easier for developers to build integration with the company’s products. It also rolled new APIs for sales tax returns and e-invoicing.

The Returns API enables developers to embed tax return workflows for their customers natively within their applications while the e-Invoicing API allows them to offer customers the ability to trigger and manage e-invoicing workflows from within their application. Avalara said it is is “pursuing a headless compliance approach that decouples the front-end presentation layer of a compliance experience from the back-end compliance functionality. The low-code platform, Avalara Integration Studio is described as providing simple, customized workflows that developers can follow to build specific functions. Integration Studio both simplifies the complexity around understanding tax context and Avalara APIs, and allows nontechnical teams to more easily assist in the development of integrations.”
