VISMA SUBSIDIARY ADDS BLOCKCHAIN 

 Visma’s Belgian subsidiary Yuki has incorporated blockchain technology. The Sweden-based financial softwre company says it is the first in Europe to make the move, which allows the authenticity of receipts and invoices to be automatically verified.

QBO ADVANCED GETS WINDOWS ADD-ON

Intuit has rolled out a free desktop add-on for QuickBooks Online Advanced, QBO Advanced for Windows. One Advanced reseller, who did not wish to be quoted by name, described the product as offering “a bit more friendly interface for those (of us) that are still desktop lovers.”

MICROSOFT CLOUD FOR MFG PREVIEWED

 

Microsoft has debuted the far-reaching  Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing, a broad product stack that spans the functions needed to run factories. The stack is described is included released products and new capabilities. The stack encompasses  Azure, Dynamics 365, HoloLens2, Microsoft 365, Teams, power platform, autonomous systems with AI and Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability. Microsoft pictures the platform as enabling businesses to create the “Agile factory of the future”.  Microsoft says companies can grow with the modular architecture of Cloud for Manufacturing, so they won’t need to completely rip and replace to together systems to run factories.

Sage Intacct is readying  its dash mesh platform, a technology that enables ERP applications to read and import data from a large variety of data bases. The platform was previewed during the company’s recent Sage Transform conference.

INTUIT MID-MARKET CRM PLANNED

 Intuit plans to develop a CRM package for the tid-market, which goes along with a push in the space with QuickBooks Online Advanced. The broad outlines of the plan was given by CEO Sasan Goodarzi during this week’s webcast for earnings for the first quarter ended October 30.

EPICOR UPDATES KINETIC, PROPHET 21

 

Epicor has updated two of its major products with new releases of Epicor Kinetic, its manufacturing package, and Prophet 21 for distributors Kinetic, the former Epicor ERP, and Prophet 21, both cloud-based, both offer a new Epicor Cloud Enterprise Services package for their target market.  The company cited the use of Epicor Application Studio to provide an update to user experiences across its platform.

Kinetic o features integration with Epicor CPQ, the renamed KBMAx.  CPQ is also available with the eCommerce package. Epicor Commerce Connect. Kinetic connects to the SecturaFAB estimating and quoting tool for metal fabrication manufacturers and to Amazon and eBay through Epicor EDI, a B2Bintegration module. Epicor said the modular design makes it easy to install components independently and personalize Prophet 21 and that the flow of information between the browser and the server has been optimized with the new user experience.
